Civil Weddings

We currently hold a Civil wedding license, this enables us to offer you the use of one of our selected rooms for a civil wedding ceremony. We have 2 rooms licensed for this purpose:

Wedgwood Room

This beautiful room, which is used as our restaurant, overlooks the Garden into the forest. This will seat (theatre style) up to 65 persons.

Room hire charge £300.00

Woodlands Room

The Woodlands Room is a pleasant room with direct access to the Gardens and the forest. This will seat (theatre style) up to 50 persons.

Room hire charge £250.00

The Ceremony

If you wish to marry by civil ceremony that is at a register office or other building approved for civil marriage you should first contact the superintendent registrar of the district where you wish to marry. You may marry at any register office or approved premises of your choice in England or Wales. However, for a marriage in an approved premise, you will also need to make arrangements at the venue in question. In addition you will need to give a formal notice of your marriage to the superintendent registrar (Tel: 01425 470150) of the district(s) where you live.

Registrars Fees.

The registrars fees are payable to the Registrars office, not the Hotel.
